We have lots of exciting news about the 2013 Participatory Budgeting Conference:
- We have extended the deadline for session proposals to March 1st, due to popular demand! Please see the call for proposals for conference information and submission guidelines.
- We’re excited to announce a new pre-conference Training Workshop: An Introduction to Participatory Budgeting. The workshop will take place in Chicago on the afternoon of May 3rd. It is designed for elected officials, staff, planners, and organizers looking to gain a solid foundation in PB before deciding if and how to move a process forward locally. For those new to the issue, the workshop will provide key background necessary to make the most of the PB Conference. See the training announcement.
- The initial conference schedule is now online, along with a new batch of speakers and new details about accommodations (reserve your room soon!).
- Don’t forget – Registration for the conference is open and the early registration discount is still available. Take advantage of it by registering today! Share your plans and ideas on the conference’s Facebook page and on Twitter (#pbconf).
